Is eHarmony Really Safe?

eHarmony, say it ain't so.
In response to Cams post, it sounds like eHarmony is cannibalizing it's own brand. You can trust us but... if you don't we'll happily take 4 more bucks out of your pocket. What a shame. At least with the other sites you know what you are getting into; beware of the strange and mysterious. Online dating should be reclassified as legalized voyeurism. How could anyone ever feel "safe" meeting someone they have only interacted with via e-mail. I checked out the crimshield link you posted. Cool concept, one whose time has come.

eHarmony spend millions of dollars to make you FEEL safe?
Beware - You are never safe in any online dating site. eHarmony claims they weed out the criminals because of the 240 questions you have to answer in order to be approved in thier system. They go against their own branding since they have offered an addition product called RelyID. They are trying to skim another $4 off of their users. They claim thier 240 question survey is so well designed to protect everyone, why would they need to offer RelyID? Are they saying they really do not know who is coming through their system? For extra money they will have their members answer 5 questions based on past addresses and relatives and then be given a credential. If eHarmony cares so much why dont they just make RelyID mandatory of every member. The truth is they just want your money while playing the "we care" brand. They do not care. Recently they signed a deal with a background check company to offer services online. As soon as they launched their RelyID the V.P. put a stop to allow any company that might offer a necessary service for thier members to be on their site. The truth is eHarmony is out for themselves. Do not be fooled. YOU ARE NOT SAFE because someone answered 240 questions. Their are several steps you should take before meeting anyone in person. One tool you can use is a thorough investigative background check offered by CrimShield. The product is unique and very effective. You simply order a background check on yourself and show your matches your clear history. Then require others to show you their CRIMSHIELD membership. Remember do not leave anything up to dating sites, they do not care. Protect yourself and be proactive.

Are Online Daters Honest In their Profiles?
Even when I was really excited about one of my matches on eHarmony... I was always a little nervous. I always wished I could find out more about them, but was afraid to come out and ask for a background check on them. I had heard the horror stories and just wanted to play it safe. I was always so apprehensive to actually meet in person.
I was so excited to learn of a background check product that allows you to have the check performed on yourself and then you can allow those you choose to verify your clean history online for free. I joined myclearcheck.com the day I heard about it. It is well worth $50 dollars to give others the peace of mind that I have always wanted. Now I ask all of my matches if they are on myclearcheck.com before taking the relationship any further.
